The Longwood skatepark at Candyland park is open. The address is 599 Longdale Ave. The hours are 8am till 9pm. There are no lights as of yet, they are being installed soon. Then they should be open till 10pm. So hit up this sweet park at stop by the grand opening on Saturday Feb. 11th. It will be open at 8am with the vendors setting up. No riding from 11-noon when the Mayor will be cutting the ribbon. Then open ride till dark. Stop by and check out all the vendors who will be selling and giving away goods all day. Support your community and tell others. Thanks to all our vendors and sponsors.
We are going to be setting up a donation program to expand the park already. Plus a few updates will make it amazing. Spread the good word. -Chad D

This has been discussed but not enough has been done so far. Here is the info we all need. The next Oviedo City Council meeting is Monday Feb. 6th @ 6:30pm in the Council Chambers 400 Alexandria Blvd. • Oviedo, FL 32765 • Phone: (407) 971-5555
Bring a speech or under two minutes of talking. Anyone can stand up and speak why bikes should be allowed in the Skatepark. We need to go to all these meetings and THEN they will have to discuss why bikes are not allowed in the park. The next meeting after that is Monday Feb. 20th at 6:30pm, same location.

I’m excited, are you excited? Don’t show up early cause they will have the gate locked, but 5pm is the time the park will be open to the public this Friday January 27th. This is it, finally after all the waiting. We have liability waivers at the shop for UNDER 17 years old. The rules are posted and make sure if your under 16 the Florida helmet rule applies to bike riders. Congrats everyone, we have a new FREE skatepark. Go Longwood. Any questions or concerns email me chad@mrbikesnboards.com or call 407-790-4964. -Chad D.

After getting off the phone with the city, they are waiting on the sign then its open. So were going to speed things up with a local sign maker and get a temporary sign up asap. We want the park open as soon as possible. We will announce when it will be open once we get done working on this sign. We’re trying hard to get open soon. REAL SOON.
