For a time, he was supplying the US navy & Air Force with the leather their jackets were made from. The leathers I have been selecting from him for key fobs, patches, etc, are a full vegetable-tanned, USA leather. Meaning, it hasn't been tanned with chemicals, but with organic matter, like leaves, bark, etc. I buy the leather as a full double-shoulder, and cut them down into pieces that will fit into my laser machine. After cutting & engraving, I had wash each piece to clean it of burn residue & debris from the burning/engraving process.
